Dr. Madhukar Misra

Dr. Madhukar Misra is an internationally recognized nephrologist with deep expertise in chronic kidney disease and dialysis therapies, particularly Peritoneal Dialysis (PD). He serves as Zbylut J Twardowski Distinguished Professor in Nephrology and Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at the University of Missouri, Columbia [a world-renowned division of Nephrology recognized as a pioneer in the development of continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD)]. He has dedicated his career to advancing patient care, clinical research, and medical education.

Dr. Misra has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and he frequently lectures at international conferences on the clinical, practical, and economic aspects of dialysis. His work has focused on improving the safety and effectiveness of PD, expanding its adoption as a patient-friendly therapy, and reducing barriers to access across diverse healthcare systems.
